Monique was a special person, always giving of herself and of her time. This annual scholarship fundraiser in honor of her memory was created via the Torch of Wisdom Foundation, Inc in Southfield, MI to insure that students matriculating at her alma mater, Howard University had an additional resource to get them over the finish line of their degrees. This year, we are taking the leap and going big in that we are looking to solidify an endowed scholarship (which means 100k) in Monique's name so that students may receive scholarships into perpetuity.
