5TH ANNUAL TRY-A-TRADE
About this Event
Bring your students for a couple hours of real world education with industry experts! Attendees will meet a variety of employers and explore all kinds of careers through hands-on activities, trying on work/safety gear, and getting upclose with tools, vehicles, vessels, & equipment!
MOST OF THE PARTICIPATING EMPLOYERS HAVE ENTRY-LEVEL CAREERS WITH ON-THE-JOB TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES - great event for students deciding their next step!! The employers know the students still need to finish school.
The theme this year is SAFETY! In addition to career opportuntiies, attendees will be exposed different safety procedures, products, practices, PPE, horror stories. Skilled trades in WA have some of the highest safety and environmental standards in the nation - and the most fun projects/geography! Which makes it all more exciting.
SNACKS AND BEVERAGES PROVIDED; like Uncrustables, Cup Noodles, granola bars/pastries, fruit, water, juice/gatorade, soda. Full-size candy bars for full-size printed resumes!!
THERE WILL BE GAMES, PRIZES, LOTS OF SWAG, AND CANDY. We can't wait to see you for the best year yet... fingers crossed for no gov. shutdown ;)
