5th Annual Ship Creek Youth Fishing Day

Children ages 15 and younger and their families are invited to come out to Ship Creek for a day of fishing, fun and giveaways.The portion of Ship Creek from the C Street bridge upstream to The Bridge Restaurant is designated by the State of Alaska as a youth-only fishery for kids ages 15 and under from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Schedule:
6:00 am: Ship Creek opens for youth-only fishing.
11:00 am: Line up along the pedestrian bridge for a group photo, gift bags and hot dogs. The line will start at The Bait Shack.
*Based on the tide, the time for the best fishing on Saturday, June 19 will be roughly 11am – 6pm.
11:00 pm: Creek closes to fishing and reopens Sunday at 6 am to all anglers.
