5th Annual Our Heritage 5k | Headlining Event for AAPI Heritage Month 2026

Celebrate AAPI Heritage Month with the 5th Annual Our Heritage 5K on Saturday, May 9 in San Francisco.

Hosted by Asians Are Strong, this free, family-friendly 5K fun walk/run brings our community together to honor the history, contributions, and living legacy of Asian American and Pacific Islander communities in San Francisco.

This year marks a major milestone: our 5th annual run. Over the past five years, Our Heritage 5K has become more than a race. It is a celebration of culture, community, visibility, and collective joy. From elders to kids to first-time participants, this event is designed to welcome everyone.

Participants will move through a scenic route in the heart of the city, with moments along the way that highlight the neighborhoods, stories, and landmarks that shape AAPI heritage in San Francisco. We’ll kick off the day with a meaningful opening ceremony, followed by an energizing route filled with cheer stations, photo ops, treats, entertainment, and community celebration.

To make this anniversary year even more special, we’re excited to offer finisher medals for the first time.

Whether you’re walking with family, running with friends, or showing up to celebrate the community, the Our Heritage 5K is a chance to move with purpose and celebrate who we are together.

Everyone must register individually to participate.

Additional details, including packet pick-up, event-day timing, and more, will be announced closer to race day.
