5th Annual Nikkei Celebration in Boyle Heights

Celebrate our 5th Annual Nikkei Celebration in Boyle Heights and the 70th Anniversary of Otomisan at this vibrant grassroots community event.

The evening features an incredible lineup of influential presenters and special guests, beginning with opening remarks delivered by Vice Consul Kaoru Kozawa of Japan, followed by special remarks from Japan House President Yuko Kaifu, welcoming remarks and expressions of gratitude from Vivian M. Escalante, President & C.E.O. of BHCP, and opening remarks from Little Tokyo Historical Society President Michael Okamura.

Attendees can enjoy captivating live performances by Hikari Taiko and the Neighborhood Music School, leading up to the evening's conclusion with our traditional group sing-along to the timeless classic "Ue Wo Muite Arukou" (popularly known as "Sukiyaki").
