The Caribbean’s Sweetest Holiday Tradition is Back

Join us for the fifth annual Rum Cake and Caribbean Black Cake Fest on Sunday, November 15, 2026, from 2–6 p.m. in Fort Lauderdale.

Presented by Island SPACE Caribbean Museum in collaboration with the Caribbean Professionals Network, this festive afternoon brings together talented South Florida bakers representing more than 15 Caribbean countries for one delicious tour of the region.

Sample your way through traditional rum cakes and black cakes, discover new favorites for Thanksgiving and Christmas and enjoy the sights, sounds and flavors of a Caribbean holiday celebration.

Taste before you buy—then take home your favorites for the holiday table.


Your Afternoon Includes
  • Cake tastings from across the Caribbean
  • Rum cakes, black cakes and other treats available for purchase
  • A Caribbean holiday market
  • Traditional holiday performances and music
  • Holiday beverages for sampling and purchase
  • Caribbean food court and cocktail bar

Tickets start at $20 early bird and $30 in advance. Door admission will be higher.

Island Society for the Promotion of Artistic and Cultural Education (Island SPACE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the advancement of arts, culture, history, and educational initiatives that represent the Caribbean region, in South Florida and the broader diaspora.
