Come join us for our 5th annual Iron Homebrewer competition and charity festival hosted by the Pasco County Brewers Guild and Liquid Garage Co in Trinity! This event brings our community together each year with an opportunity to try some truly unique brews. Unlimited samples available of 40+ beers (some ciders/wines)! All tickets are considered donations that will go directly to the charity :) Florida homebrewers will compete by brewing a beer with a randomly selected ingredient. Some examples of the random ingredients from years past are tequila, mallomars, teddy grahams, and dragon fruit.
How do the homebrewers win? Judges will vote to select the top 4 beers and the overall winner will be selected by the crowd for the grand prize! There will also be a general overall crowd favorite prize, so come ready to vote and sample.
EVENT FOOD: there will be 2 food trucks onsite, Meltdown and Munchies!
VENDORS: The Spun Doctor will be there with some stellar cotton candy creations, 8 Paws Approved offering all natural beer grain dog treats and MoMo’s Creations Inc! Momo's is your one stop shop for glass etched beer steins and other drinking glasses, along with handmade corn hole bags. We also offer hand created wood decor for the 2A enthusiast, shot and drink flight boards and multi-use trays. As the daughter of a veteran I hold our military members in high regard and now offer a military discount so be sure to mention it when you visit our tent!!
CHARITY INFO: we are supporting Suncoast Voices for Children this year! Suncoast Voices for Children provides for the unmet physical, psychological, educational, and social needs of abused, abandoned, and neglected children in Pinellas and Pasco Counties. They are one of the few non-profit organizations that works on the front end to be the voice for every vulnerable child; working with the Sheriff’s Department Child Protection Investigators, Case Managers, and Guardians Ad Litem to keep kids out of the dependency system, meet their needs while in the system, and give them what they need to succeed once outside the system. The Pasco Brewer’s guild was founded with the mission to support our local community and help make Pasco brewtiful. This event and charity are both close to our hearts as we get to help support the community around us.
BREWERS INFO: Every $10 gets you a random ingredient! We'll post the ingredients with your name on this page and send out an email. All entry fees will go towards brewer prizes. Each winner will get a prize. Please plan to bring a 5-gallon batch to serve at the event. The grand prize winner of the brewing competition will not only get a cash prize, but also get to brew a batch with the head brewer of Liquid Garage and have their beer served on tap! Lastly, the grand prize winner will get to choose a charity that the proceeds of their beer on tap go to! Note, no wild ferment / mixed-fermentation beers will be allowed to win the grand prize as the beer will be brewed on the pro system.
