This fun-filled event is held in memory of Riley John Bourgeois. Riley suffered a drowning accident days before his 2nd birthday. His parents made it their mission that no other family should have to experience the loss of a loved one to drowning. The Riley John Bourgeois Foundation was established as means of promoting water safety and drowning prevention. The Blue Boot Rodeo is the main fundraiser held to support the mission of the foundation. While spectacular fishing is a part of the rodeo festivities, this family-oriented event has much more to offer.
