The 5th Annual #BeAGoodFriend Toy & Coat Drive seeks to support our community members in need this holiday season. From Tuesday, November 12 through Saturday, December 7, participating businesses across West Hartford will host collection boxes, accepting donations during normal business hours.
Toys will benefit the Wolcott Welcoming Schools Committee, which will distribute them to various in-need locations including West Hartford's Hillcrest neighborhood. Toys should be new and unwrapped.
Coats will benefit the Chrysalis Center, a Hartford-based nonprofit that provides various support services to help people transform their lives. Coats of all sizes are accepted and should be new or lightly worn.
Collection boxes are available at the following businesses in West Hartford:
- Luna Pizza: 999 Farmington Ave.
- Maximum Beverage: 340 North Main St.
- NBT Bank: 68 South Main St.
- Uberdog: 121 Talcott Rd.
- WeHa Brewing & Roasting: 141 Shield St.
- William Raveis: 125 LaSalle Rd.
On Saturday, December 7th from 1-4 PM, we will host a celebration for the last day of the collection at Luna Pizza. stay tuned for more details.
