About this Event
We will leave at 5 pm from the Graduate Hotel, and return to the Graduate around 7 pm.
This is a walking tour, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather!
This walking tour will be led by Gallery Night Guide Frank Toti. We will visit the following locations and exhibits:
presents “Love Thy Neighbor” by fashion designer Maria Grace, a vibrant community celebration of peace, love, and culture. Everything was made by Maria and artists and designers she admires. Infused with joy, expression, and culture, the exhibition is a commitment to sharing passion and honoring community.
brings to you Gravity of the Ephemeral by Uli Bramst, who works in a variety of modalities including painting, drawing, ceramics, and traditional handiwork. “My work evolves around the human body, nature and the domestic”, she notes in her artist statement. In the adjoined Reading Room, Is it happiness? by Haimo Wei, a current student at Rhode Island School of Design.
presents Folly by Charles Romano, a current RISD student who works in chalk pastels, collage, acrylic, oil, and more. Also on view is My Mind’s Eye by Rebecca Rivera Scotti, who explores surrealism and the human psyche through works on paper and canvas, often embodying these themes with animals and using everyday objects to evoke personal nostalgia.
presents FOR LET EARTH by kathy wu, an artist, poet, designer, educator, and amateur translator working across language, computation, books, and sometimes textile. This body of work features inkjet on cotton and digital embroidery. Wu currently teaches at Rhode Island School of Design.
returns with "In Harmony with Nature: An Exhibit of Tribal Paintings from India". The Warli Tribal painting style, dating back to 2500-3000 BCE, remains practiced today. Using bamboo sticks and rice flour-based white paint on cloth, these paintings depict daily life, celebrations, and a deep connection to nature. Ten paintings by artists from Maharashtra will be on display during the opening reception on Gallery Night!
Half of the spots on the tour will always be available (first-come, first-served), completely free, to anyone who shows up on Gallery Night!
The other half of the spots are available to reserve in advance via Eventbrite. We ask that you donate $1 when you check out, for the convenience of guaranteeing your spot on the tour of your choice ahead of time.
Reserving Multiple Tickets? Eventbrite requires you to make a separate reservation for each ticket. Each time you put in an order, it's only for one ticket (even if you choose to donate more than $1). For example, tickets for 3 people would be 3 separate orders, each with a $1 donation.

Accessibility notes:
- All tours involve some walking and some stops may include stairs.
- We also invite wheelchair users to enjoy a self-guided tour on Gallery Night. We have suggestions (Make Your Own Tour page on our website) where we note which galleries are wheelchair accessible.
Some notes to help you out the night of the event!
- We recommend arriving to the Graduate 5 to 10 minutes before your tour time. One of our volunteers will be at a podium with a Gallery Night banner, near the main entrance, and will check you in and answer any questions!
- If your plans change, please remember to cancel your Eventbrite reservation so that someone else can enjoy the tour.
- Tours occasionally run late. We recommend allowing buffer time if you're planning on attending another event after ours.
We have other guided tours the same night! Go to our Eventbrite Organizer Page and scroll down, the other tours will be listed under "Upcoming Events."

And before you go...
We are a non-profit organization, and we depend on the generosity of individuals and businesses in the community to continue to present Gallery Night as a FREE event!
If you want to support us, you can donate at this link. Donate at least $10, mention it at check in on Gallery Night, and we'll offer you a Gallery Night tote bag as a token of our appreciation. Every little bit helps us invest in the creative community here in Providence and show people some of the incredible art that Providence has to offer!

THANK YOU!
