SAVE THE DATE for our 7th Annual 5KRCU Run/Walk for Public Radio! On September 28, we're running (or walking) to support public radio in Southeast Missouri. Participants have the option to run competitively (professional timing is provided) or walk for leisure. The 5KRCU is part of Cape Girardeau Road Runners Grand Prix Event Series, and all skill levels are welcome!
The race will begin and end in front of KRCU Studios, located in the Serena Building on Southeast’s campus. A detailed map of the route will be posted in the coming weeks. Registration will start at 7 a.m., and the race will start at 8 a.m.
Those registered by our early bird deadline of Friday, September 6, are guaranteed a t-shirt that can be picked up on race day. The general race fee is $25, which will be raised to $30 after the early bird deadline. SEMO students and children under the age of 17 can run for $15.
All runners/walkers will be entered in a drawing to win one of five pairs of running shoes compliments of Brown's Shoe Fit Co. We will be giving away one pair of each of the following brands: Hoka, New Balance, Brooks, On Running, Asics.
