Join us for the 56th Annual Scholars' Conference on the Holocaust and the Churches, hosted by the Ackerman Center for Holocaust Studies at The University of Texas at Dallas.Now in its 56th year, this longstanding conference continues the legacy established by Franklin H. Littell and Hubert G. Locke more than five decades ago. It brings together scholars, educators, students, and community members for thoughtful, interdisciplinary dialogue on the Holocaust and its ongoing historical, theological, and moral significance.
The theme of the 2026 conference is “The Legacy of Witnessing: Holocaust Memory, Education, and Research in the Twenty-First Century.”
Public sessions will take place on March 8 and 9 at the Davidson-Gundy Alumni Center on the UT Dallas campus.
Keynote speakers include:
• Tali Nates (March 8, 2026)
• Dr. Mark Celinscak (March 9, 2026)
On March 8, the conference will also include a special luncheon conversation with filmmaker Yoav Potash, whose film "Among Neighbors" will be screened at the Studio Movie Grill (Royal Lane) on February 24.
