About this Event
The Roanoke Valley-Alleghany Regional Commission is excited to host our 56th Annual Dinner at Explore Park on Thursday, October 30, starting at 5:30pm.
The event will start with a social hour with hors d’oeuvres at the Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center, followed by an elegant catered dinner and dessert at the neighboring Arthur Taubman Center.
This year, we are commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Appalachian Trail at one of our region’s crowing jewels – Roanoke County’s Explore Park off the Blue Ridge Parkway.
We’re excited to have Ed Clark, Superintendent of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, as our keynote speaker, and Kinnfolk, a local Celtic folk duo with music “with Appalachian charm from the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.”
Our annual event brings together commission members, partners and our staff to celebrate achievements and progress made through regional cooperation and collaboration across localities in the spirit of public service.
Our commission of elected officials and citizens focuses on regional priorities like economic growth, transportation, environmental resiliency, outdoor recreation access, and legislative action.
**Staff and Regional Commission members receive complimentary tickets with the promo code provided.
**Guest and general admission tickets are $75 each.
For questions and accommodations, please contact Virginia Mullen at [email protected] or Jessica Mahuron at [email protected].
