Saturday, April 25th from 10am-6pm, Sunday, April 26th from 10am-6pm 🗓️The Cherokee Triangle Art Fair is a juried fair with more than 200 artists’ booths featuring a variety of artistic mediums and hand-crafted wares. 🎨 The two-day event is free to attend and open to the public. The Art Fair is annually in Louisville’s historic Cherokee Triangle preservation district on tree-lined Cherokee Parkway between Willow Avenue and Cherokee Road, and including Willow Park. 🌳
In addition to a high-quality and diverse selection of arts and crafts, patrons of the fair can enjoy food, drink, and entertainment 🌭. The popular Children’s Parade kicks off the event each year at 10:00 a.m. 🎉. Additionally, a street party is held on Saturday night from 6-8pm after the booths close up for the day 🎼. Here, volunteers, neighbors and artists can enjoy socializing, live music and drink/food specials. 🍻
Other attractions include the Cherokee Triangle Association booth with offerings of Cherokee Triangle branded merchandise and apparel 🧢 art fair map and director, and association information, the plant booth to stock up on annuals for your summer garden🪴, and the KMAC Children’s Art Tent for fun hands-on activities throughout the weekend🎨.
The annual Cherokee Triangle Art Fair is run entirely by dedicated volunteers (residents of the neighborhood) and is the major fundraiser for Louisville’s Cherokee Triangle Association (CTA). 💚 The art fair proceeds are returned to the community and neighborhood through free public events, charitable donations and other projects in the community.
The CTA and Art Fair volunteers ask that attendees respect the following requests while inside the event premises: 🚫 No pets. No weapons. No outside alcohol. No soliciting.🚫
With the Art Fair’s location being in the center of a residential neighborhood, we are not able to offer any dedicated parking reserved for attendees. 🅿️ Those traveling to the event by car must park along the public streets of the neighborhood, along with its residents and the exhibitors. 🚸 Please be mindful of pedestrians and pets/wildlife, as well as blocking alleys or driveways. There is a bike rack in Willow Park that cyclists may use. 🚲
If you are having a ride service bring you or need to be dropped close to the entrance for mobility reasons, ♿️ the best locations are on the corner of Willow Ave. and Cherokee Pkwy. or Cherokee Rd. and Cherokee Pkwy. 🚖
Security: 🛂 The CTA hires off duty LMPD officers for the event. We also have security guards stationed at night who watch over the tents. 👀
Restrooms: 🚻 There is a small public restroom building in Willow Park for patrons to utilize. There are also additional portable bathroom facilities brought in for the event that are located off the roundabout on Cherokee Pkwy.
🏧 While many of the vendors take credit card or digital payments, we will have an ATM available for attendees to use that is located near the food court area.
