1. Open to all bowlers who (a): have a current 2024-25 certification with the Rochester NY USBC, and (b): have bowled at least one certified 700 series in their lifetime. Affiliate certifying is available at the tournament site, provided bowler is a previous Rochester NY USBC member. Also open to touching association members (Canandaigua, Finger Lakes, Genesee Region, Hornell, Penn Yan Dundee, & Lake Ontario/Wayne County) with a $9 local association fee. The event is conducted under USBC rules and regulations. This tournament is not SMART Approved. 2. Bowlers must use their highest USBC-certified adult average based on a minimum of 21 games in the prior two seasons (2022-23 and 2023-24). If there is no average from the past two seasons, you must bowl scratch. Summer league averages are NOT accepted. The Tournament Director reserves the right to re-rate or reject any entry, and will notify of such action. Bowlers with only a USBC-certified Sport Bowling average for the past two seasons must report such and will have their average adjusted according to the USBC Sport Bowling adjustment schedule.
3. Handicap is 100% from 220 (Handicap Division). Bowlers with a book average of 220 or greater must bowl in the Scratch Division. 4. There will be a maximum of four bowlers per lane. Bowlers may re-enter if lanes are available but can only cash once.
5. All USBC rules will be in effect except rule 319D. Participants should note rules 319A-3, 319B, and 319C. Adequate entering average also re-rating (USBC rule 319E.)
6.Entry fee includes: prize fund - $27.50, lineage fee - $10.50, best ball challenge - $2.00, and expenses - $5.00. Prize fund pays 1:6 bowlers. All prize money paid out 100%. Refunds will be processed if a bowler alerts the Tournament Director within 24 hours of the scheduled event.
7. Make checks payable to the Rochester NY USBC. There will be a $30.00 fee for returned checks. NO checks will be accepted on day of the tournament.
The Rochester NY USBC will be including the “Best Ball Challenge”. The fee will be $2.00 per person, included in their entry fee, with 100% of the proceeds going to each of the first place finishers in their respective squads. Handicap bowlers will compete against scratch bowlers.
