50th Anniversary Golden Gala

Since 1975, the United Irish Cultural Center and Patrick J. Dowling Library have been the cherished home of the Irish in San Francisco, a beacon of culture and heritage, and a thriving community center on the west side of San Francisco. Join us for a multi-faceted celebration of culture, community, and commitment as we honor the legacy of our founders, the strength of the community that sustains us, and a vision for the future that gleams with promise.

Make a grand entrance as you arrive at 2700 45th Avenue amidst a fleet of 1970s-era cars that will take you back in time. Irish dancers, bagpipers, and entertainers set the tone for a cultural extravaganza. Enjoy an interactive reception throughout the ground floor of the building with entertainment, complimentary champagne, wine, and Irish whiskey cocktails, special exhibits, and plenty of our signature Irish hospitality—including some celebrity bartenders. Then be ready to be escorted upstairs to an utterly transformed St. Patrick’s Room for a seated dinner with plenty of special touches and an inspirational dinner program.

Following the dinner program, explore the building and the exhibits, enjoy the sentimental sweet treats, and engage in interactive experiences—each with a heartfelt tie to Ireland and the threads of green that have connected us all for the past fifty years.

As the After-Party comes to life, enjoy musical entertainment throughout the building —something for everyone. Tickets to the After-Party may be purchased separately, or entrance is included with purchase of a Golden Gala ticket.
