Zumba-Combat-Kick- A-ThonHelp Spread Awareness for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention by dancing, punching, and kicking through the beat.
This event is for:
those who have fought a silent battle
Those who continue to fight that silent battle
Those who have loved ones and or friends that fight that silent battle
Those who have lost someone that has lost to their silent battle
And those who are overall supportive of Mental Health awareness.
I just want to share the message and share what fitness (cardio kick and body combat) has done for me. Basically saved me from my own troubling dark days.
In order for this event to meet what I want to vocalize and share, there will be local Mental Health Agencies at the event ready to provide information on services that you would like to inquire for yourself or for a loved one.
Many people are embarrassed to discuss their story, or embarrassed to seek help. Others want to seek help but without some people knowing. I will make sure to have an anonymous box there so that you can inquire about the help you want or need and someone will reach out to you.
Fitness is not only about getting physically healthy but getting mentally healthy. Let's do that together in this event!
