About this Event
- 5-Day silent mindfulness retreat to immerse yourself in the practice of mindfulness.
- This is a non-religious retreat. It is guided by MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction), the most established and popular mindfulness program in the world. MBSR was created by Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979 at the University Of Massachusetts, Center For Mindfulness.
- This is an opportunity to be with yourself, deepen your practice, and yet practise in a group.
- There will be mindfulness talks and instructional sessions every day.
- There will be periods of guided practices and self-directed practice. The guided practices include sitting meditation, mindful walking, mindful movement and loving-kindness.
- This retreat is practice-centred and intensive. Participants are encouraged to maintain moment to moment awareness during formal practices and daily activities.
- Participants will observe noble silence. To refrain from unnecessary reading, writing or using digital devices so that the energy is channelled toward the practice. Communicating with others is only to supports the mindfulness practice. At the start of the retreat, participants will talk and get to know each other. Participants will break the silence on the last evening and share their experiences if they wish to.
- There will be daily small group interviews with the teacher to talk about how is the retreat going.
- Participants are required to attend the entire retreat.
- This retreat is suitable for both beginner and experienced practitioners.
- This retreat is designed to fulfil the retreat requirement for mindfulness teachers in training.

- The fee is SGD $100
- We will review your registration to ensure that the retreat is suitable for you.
- Please make payment after you are offered a place. When your payment is received, we will email you the joining instructions for the online retreat.

0900 – 1200 hr: Morning session
1200 – 1330 hr: Lunch break
1330 – 1730 hr: Afternoon session
