It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s this year’s annual July 4th fireworks show. On the Fourth, Marine Corps Base Quantico will be holding a fireworks show on Lejeune Field to commemorate Independence Day. The event is free and open to all DoD cardholders and their immediate family members.The event will begin at 3:00 p.m. and will have food concessions, beverages, carnival rides, both a live band and a DJ. The fireworks display will begin at 9:00 p.m. Parking will be available at the Lejeune Hall overflow lot, the large employee lot and small lot around the building.
Quantico Chapel Annex Ceremony
Also, there will be a ceremony at the Quantico Chapel Annex commemorating "America's Godly Heritage" with the following timeline of events:
7:45 p.m. Welcome, overview, psalm and prayer
7:55 p.m. Worship Songs
8:10 p.m. Reading of Declaration of Independence
8:15 p.m. 2-3 Founding Father Quotes
8:20 p.m. Pledge of Allegiance with kids
8:25 p.m. Concluding song and prayer
Folks/families can then walk across the street to Lejeune Field for music, food, and fireworks...
8:37 p.m. Evening Colors
9:15 p.m. Fireworks begin

Quantico Marine Corps Band in Fredericksburg
Also on the 4th of July, the Quantico Marine Corps Band will be performing in Fredericksburg, VA, at the John Lee Pratt Memorial Park with special guest appearance by the Fredericksburg Community Concert Band and the Mid-Atlantic Wind Symphony.
