About this Event
On Monday, September 23, 2024, COVE, in collaboration with Pisces Research Project Management, invites all members from government, industry, academia, and the marine sector to join us at the Halifax Convention Centre for the 4th National Forum on Workforce Development, kicking off the OCEANS 2024 Conference. This interactive session, funded by our founding partner Irving Shipbuilding Inc., will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ADT in room 503.
In an ever-evolving labour market and with Canada's marine economy on the rise, it's more important than ever to address workforce challenges with innovative strategies and fresh perspectives. This forum is designed to foster knowledge sharing and thought leadership, equipping the sector with the skilled talent needed to meet growing demands.
Participants will have the opportunity to engage in roundtable discussions, breakout sessions, and networking, all centered around key topics like skill gaps, ocean workforce challenges, and Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) best practices. You’ll explore successful examples of workforce development and gain actionable takeaways to support your team's growth.
Whether you’re a start-up, SME, student, or seasoned professional, this event will provide valuable insights and connections to help you navigate the challenges of workforce development in the ocean industry. Ready to explore solutions for your business? Register today!
