4th July - Brooch Club Meet Up #3 ~ Windowsmiths Gallery - Potts Point

Building on the ideas and context explored in previous sessions, this meet focuses on developing your individual concept in response to our exhibition theme, Keeper.

We’ll begin to unpack ideas around archive, memory, and material translation - considering how personal and collective histories can be held, interpreted, and expressed through brooch-making.

This session will include:

• Guided prompts to support concept development in response to Keeper
• Exploration of themes including archive, memory, and transformation through material
• Time for individual reflection and idea-building
• Group discussion to share and test emerging directions

Bring along your journal for notes, sketches, and idea development.

You’re also welcome to bring any references, materials, or early works-in-progress to support your thinking and share with the group.

This session is focused on shaping/sharing your direction - a space to begin forming a clear conceptual thread that can carry through to exhibition. And - for genrally discussing where you are at with your conceputal design thinking!

As with all Brooch Club meets, this is a peer-focused event - ideal for jewellers with an existing practice.

Each Brooch Club meet is hosted in multiple locations (at the same time) - choose the best location for you. All meets are hosted via this Eventbrite profile - register to secure your spot.

Brooch Club is an initiative to bring our jewellery community together, supported by local Creative Spaces and JMGA NSW.

We request a small contribution to participate. Your donation of $15 on sign up helps cover running costs for organisers. However, if contributing isn’t possible for you right now, please don’t let that be a barrier. Everyone is welcome, regardless of financial means.
