Veteran Suicide Awareness March
The 10th Annual 2022 Veteran Suicide Awareness March is on Saturday, November 12, 2022.
There are two options for participation:
- In person event in Green Bay, WI
- Virtually, wherever you are able
There is a long route and a short route - details available on the website. You are welcome to walk whatever distance you are able, including at the in person event as it is an out and back.
Each year veterans, active duty service members and civilians come together at the in person event to raise awareness and honor the lives and service of those who we have lost to this epidemic. This event has grown to a national and international level to encourage those all across the globe to raise awareness and funds wherever they are.
Though it’s not a requirement, many of the participants will be carrying a rucksack or backpack in remembrance of the Veterans who complete suicide each and every day.
Money raised will assist in helping those suffering from mental illness and considering this tragic fate. Every Veteran deserves our help in overcoming such obstacles after serving our country and fighting for our freedoms. Thus, we are asking you to join us this Veterans Day weekend to assist in bringing awareness to Veteran suicide by sponsoring H.O.O.A.H.’s Veteran Suicide Awareness March.
This event is about joining together as a team to fight against Veteran suicide.

*NEW* this year we will used tiered pricing for registration as we approach the event:
14 July – 31 July = $20
1 August – 31 August= $25
1 September – 30 September = $30
1 October – 15 October = $35 **shirt order deadline
16 October – 12 November = $40 – In person will also be $40
Event registration does NOT include an event t-shirt. The cost to add an event t-shirt is $20 and the deadline to guarantee you receive one is October 15
IN PERSON EVENT INFORMATION:
6-8am - Registration at KI Convention Center
8am - Opening Ceremony
8:15am - March Instructions
8:45am - National Anthem
9am - Step Off/March Begins
2pm - Post Event Activities/Celebration begins, please join us!
FUNDRAISING ENCOURAGED! Please visit the website for more information on crowdfunding and sponsorships. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and helps support the nearly 20 (and growing) programs we offer year-round.
T-shirt Disclosure Information: T-shirts are an additional purchase inside of the registration. If you register for the VIRTUAL national march these shirts will be mailed to you. If you register for the Wisconsin IN-PERSON event you will receive your shirt at the event. If the event is forced virtual because of a state or municipal requirement, you will be mailed your shirt. To receive a shirt, you must be registered by 15 October 2022.
**If you register for IN-PERSON and cannot attend, you forfeit your t-shirt. T-shirts will not be shipped unless the event is forced virtual by state or municipal requirement. No exceptions.**
**If you register for VIRTUAL but attend in person, a goody bag is not guaranteed.**
