Hi folks! 4th Friday Art on the Town is fast approaching and we have a double header coming at you! Yes! We are so fortunate to have two heavy hitters from our tri-state area gracing our walls for your viewing pleasure.First up we have KO Simms who is an artist with exceptional experience in the disciplines of watercolor, pen, ink and pastel, developing in a life long career of on the scene drawing and painting of landscapes, cityscapes and figure drawing/portrait work throughout the Atlantic Coastal Region. Mr Simms works have become part of the collections of many corporations, private businesses and the public at large.
Next up we have Dane Tilghman who has established himself as one of the premier painters of African American art. Dane has an creative approach to artistic images of the common man, woman and child and his images are inspired by African Americans in and out of daily life, popular entertainment and the world of sports. One of Mr Tilghman’s baseball images has been incorporated into the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown NY and has created a mural for Turner Stadium in Atlanta.
Whew! I could go on and on about there accomplishments but we’d be here until next week! Two very special artists you don’t want to miss!
