4th Annual Womb Liberation Festival: Queens Amongst Us- Unbound in the Womb of Wisdom
The event is designed to honor and celebrate Black women and girls of African descent by creating a sacred, intergenerational space that uplifts their beauty, leadership, creativity, resilience, and cultural contributions through art, storytelling, healing practices, and community connection. The festival seeks to raise awareness and inspire collective action around critical issues impacting Black women, families, and communities, including birthing justice, reproductive health, voting rights, eviction prevention, water affordability, and community well-being.
Additionally, the event aims to strengthen Black woman-owned healing economies by supporting entrepreneurs, artists, healers, and cultural practitioners through opportunities for visibility, networking, resource sharing, and economic empowerment. Through womb liberation practices such as sound healing, movement, ritual, and creative expression, participants are invited to reconnect with themselves and one another while affirming their rights to joy, rest, safety, dignity, and self-determination. Ultimately, the festival serves as a joyful, intergenerational celebration that fosters healing, community care, and collective liberation for children, youth, adults, elders, and families.
