Nurses in all settings are in a position to be leaders in the advancement of nursing practice by inspiring, engaging and elevating themselves and their co-workers. This course will provide examples of how nurses have inspired health care leaders, became engaged in organizations and other activities and elevated the care and practice of nursing by seeking innovative means of educating prospective nurses.The presenters will describe different methods used by nurses that have inspired them to become engaged in different activities such as leadership in organizations, development of different processes to mentor and educate new nurses in order to elevate the nursing practice.
