The Gulfport City-Wide Juneteenth Celebration is thrilled to announce its 4th Annual Freedom Festival, set to take place on Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 3 pm to 8 pm at Westside Park. This year’s festival promises to be an unforgettable event, celebrating the spirit of Juneteenth and honoring the journey towards freedom and equality. ??❤️✨
Attendees can look forward to a vibrant array of activities, including live performances, food and craft vendors offering delicious treats and unique treasures, cultural exhibits showcasing the rich heritage of the community, and access to valuable community resources. The festival will be a melting pot of entertainment, education, and celebration.
Highlighting the entertainment lineup are special performances by choirs, majorette and dance groups, and a diverse array of talented artists. From soul-stirring music to mesmerizing dance routines, there will be something for everyone to enjoy.
In addition to the festivities, the Gulfport City-Wide Juneteenth Celebration will proudly present the 4th Annual Community Jami Awards. These awards serve to recognize and honor three exceptional community leaders and advocates who have demonstrated unwavering dedication to serving others and advancing the cause of equality and justice.
The Gulfport City-Wide Juneteenth Celebration’s 4th Annual Freedom Festival is a testament to the resilience, strength, and unity of the Gulfport community. We invite everyone to join us for an inspiring day filled with joy, empowerment, and solidarity. The festival is completely free, just bring your lawn chairs and some cash for vendors!!
