WE'RE BACK! 🌶️🤔
Join us November 15th at the 4th Annual Existential Chili Cookoff hosted by The Intersection Cafe & @nietzschesbuffalo, benefiting @friendsofnightpeople
🏅 Entrants will pay a $15 fee to display their culinary prowess. Judging community members will pay a $7 fee at the door day of entitling them to sample all entries and vote on whether they are chili, and which is best.
✨ Please note that we have had to make the decision to slightly raise entry prices a bit this year. With the ever rising cost of supplies and food, we want to be able to donate as much as possible to Friends of Night People to ensure they can keep helping our community in the incredible ways that they do! Our few wonderful volunteers absorb costs each year of putting on this function, nothing is for profit, 100% of our proceeds with the exception of prize money for the two winners goes to the charty
If you are unavailable to join us the day of, please consider leaving a cash donation with any of our baristas at the Cafe!
🏆 Best in Show award winners will split a quarter of the total proceeds, the other three fourths will be donated to Friends of Night People
✍🏻 Sign up to compete and pay your entry fee at the Intersection Cafe: 100 Elmwood Ave (daytime living room)
🍲 Entrants are required to bring their own crockpot and serving utensils the day of. Please also consider bringing an extension cord if you are able. We will provide bowls, napkins and eating utensils
🌭 Hot dogs and cheese will be on sale for an additional $5, so feel free to make your own chili dogs! All proceeds also go to Friends of Night People
🗓️ Event will take place Sunday November 15th 2026 at 12:30 pm at Nietzsche's, 248 Allen Street (evening living room)
This is a 21+ event
