THE BUILDERS HAVE ARRIVED.

Join us on Chicago’s West Side for the 4th Annual Kumaliza Mfungo — our Black August End of Fast Feast — and the Cohort 2 Graduation & Commissioning of Shule Ya Wajenzi (The Builders School).

Kumaliza Mfungo is a time to reflect, honor, observe, break the fast, and rejoice. This year, we gather not only to commemorate Black August, but to recognize a new generation of Builders who have spent the summer studying, traveling, serving, working with their hands, developing their leadership, and preparing themselves to build businesses, buildings, families, and stronger communities.

This is more than a graduation ceremony. It is a public commissioning of men and women prepared to take greater responsibility for what happens next in their lives and in the communities they call home.
