About this Event

True Grit & Grind Burlesque is proud to partner with Bookish: an indie shop for folks who read in presenting our 4th Annual Burlesque on the Books.

This year the event will be benefitting a local non-profit, Club Z at Sweet House. Sweet House is a newly opened community & event center in Fort Smith, AR. It serves diverse organizations, including a program for LGBT youth called Club Z!

Join us in celebrating Banned Book Week as members of True Grit & Grind perform skits and readings from our favorite banned books.

This show is all ages but keep in mind not all material may be suited for all viewers due to strong language.

Everyone is encouraged to shop Bookish during normal store hours (10 AM - 6 PM) as well as throughout the event. Be sure to peruse the banned book display anytime between Sept. 26th - Oct. 2nd!

Space is very limited so please don't hesitate to reserve your spot!

Masks are highly encouraged.
