About this Event
The 4th Annual Amputee Bowler Bash is back and better than ever! Join us on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 2750 Austell Road Southwest, Marietta, GA 30008 for a day filled with fun, bowling, and camaraderie. This incredible event aims to support and raise awareness for SO EVERY BODY CAN MOVE (GEORGIA), a national movement to push for insurance equity for activity-specific devices (did you know that orthotic and prosthetic devices for showering, running, and swimming aren't covered under insurance??).
Whether you're a seasoned bowler or just looking for a good time, this event is for everyone! Lace up your bowling shoes and get ready to strike down pins while making a positive impact. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate the strength and resilience of amputees and to help change Georgia Law to make insurance coverage include Prosthetic and Orthotic devices for more activities!
Mark your calendars and join us at the 4th Annual Amputee Bowler Bash!

VSA Prosthetics was created with the intention of providing the highest quality and most functional prosthetic designs and services, and most importantly to care for the patient and their family as a whole. VSA Prosthetics’ common saying “It only seems impossible until it is done” and mission of "Creating Possibilities Every Step of the WAY" for this population is extended through the Amputee Bowler Bash and hosting/sponsoring future Adaptive Sports Clinics. BOWLERO AUSTELL is operated by General Manager Dennis Lockhart, who has known Jonathan Griggs for many years and has generously offered to support our cause by offering his beautiful facility to host this year's event. THE GEORGIA SOCIETY OF ORTHOTISTS AND PROSTHETISTS is a non-profit organization of professionals "Dedicated to Educational Excellence in the Advancement of the Field of Orthotics and Prosthetics in the State of Georgia." They are assisting with the So Every Body Can Move effort. (https://www.georgiasop.com/)
SO EVERY BODY CAN MOVE was created to promote insurance equity and to push legislation requiring private insurance companies to cover activity-specific orthotic and prosthetic devices, e.g., for showering, running, swimming. We believe these types of devices shouldn't be considered as a "luxury," but rather medically necessary! So Every Body Can Move [Georgia] (https://soeverybodycanmove.org/state/georgia/)
If you're interested in partnering or sponsoring this or future events through tax-deductible donations, there are several opportunities, including advertisement on the back of our event shirts, Lane Sponsorships, in-kind donation of raffle prizes, etc.
