4th Annual “A Meal for My Sister” Tea Party
About this Event
A Meal for My Sister is a community initiative created in memory of my sister, Sylvia, to raise awareness about domestic violence, celebrate survivors, and create a safe, welcoming space for women to connect, feel seen, and know they are not alone.
In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, this special Tea Party Event is being hosted in collaboration with Blue Door Neighborhood Center, Yo Soy Ella Inc, The Marinated Kitchen, and A Beautiful Project.
Together, we are creating an afternoon centered on sisterhood, hope, healing, and community. Guests will enjoy a shared meal, meaningful conversation, encouragement, and opportunities to connect with organizations and resources that support women and families.
Our hope is not only to raise awareness, but also to help connect women who may be in need with domestic violence services, emergency shelter information, mental health support, community programs, and additional referrals.
Suggested dress code: Dress to Impress in your Tea Party best! No hat? we’ll have extras!
