Come join us under the stars as 4KINSHIP presents Indigenous Summer Sessions, a homespun evening to celebrate Indigenous creativity through art + movement + sound + fashion . The Mystic Santa Fe will be hosting us Sunday June 30th from 7pm to 9pm for an artist benefit to support the 4KINSHIP Indigenous Futures Fund, with 100% of profits from ticket sales going towards benefiting Indigenous dancers, singers, and collaborating creatives. Doors will open early at 6:30pm so you can enjoy the epic Indigenous Soul Food by Yapopup . Live performances by the phenomenal artist line up Def-I, Raven Bright, Lucaa, Hataałi, and Nizhonniya Austin . This collaborative initiative, led by Diné (Navajo) brand 4KINSHIP and Inspiring Children Foundation (ICF) , aims to foster equitable opportunities for Indigenous artists to thrive in their craft. By raising funds, this initiative empowers Indigenous creatives to showcase their unique talents to the community and the press, providing them with professional recognition and support. Raven Bright an Indigenous contemporary artist from occupied Tewa land in ABQ NM, focuses on Breaking and teaching. With 15 years of experience in Breaking and Hip-Hop culture, he blends skills acquired from culture and community to express himself through dance. Of Diné and Irish descent, he reconnected with his roots through movement after growing up in Gallup NM. As a member of the Dibéłizhiní (Black Sheep Clan) of the Diné people, Raven’s dance forms connections to land, culture, and people. He encompasses various styles including Modern, Contemporary, Ballet, Capoeira, Popping, Locking, Waving, Tutting, and House, while also honing skills in acting, painting, and writing.

DEF-I Award winning Diné artist ‘Def-i’ continues to carve out an original niche from introspective and poetic Hip-Hop. Emerging from Dinétah & the underground rap circuit, Def-i’s eclectic repertoire has provided him with much success and opportunity; MC, Producer, Artist-Educator, Storyteller – Def-i has been featured on NPR Music, Sway In The Morning, New York Times, BBC, Shade 45, CBC, Democracy Now! and more. His performance styles range widely from Hip-Hop and spoken word to contemporary Indigenous acoustic. Rounding out this diverse musical powerhouse, Def-i is an experienced youth educator, active Recording Academy / GRAMMYs member, and currently serves as an International Hip-Hop Cultural Ambassador with Next Level USA.

His dedication to cultural preservation and lyrical mastery has earned him the respect of Hip Hop veterans, industry professionals, and upcoming generations.

Lucaa is the brainchild of singer/songwriter/producer Stepha, who is a two-spirit Afro-Indigenous artist from A Ni Sa Ho Ni (Cherokee – Blue/Medicine clan) and Arapaho ancestry. With organic production led by Stepha’s spectral vocals reminiscent of a lullaby, Lucaa’s brand of raw and em1otive music is an expression of both their inner workings and their culture. Formed in 2022, Lucaa has already been featured on CBS and Vogue; and continues to bring Indigenous representation to the music industry while simultaneously shining a light on the two-spirit Indigenous experience within the queer community.

Hataałinez Wheeler is a 21-year-old Diné musician hailing from Window Rock, AZ. Named Spin Magazine’s 2023 Breakout Star, Hataałinez is a multidimensional talent, excelling as a singer/songwriter, actor, and writer. The Navajo musician has four albums under his belt thus far in his music career: “Singing Into Darkness,” released in 2023, “Land of Poor Chance” and “President’s Got Me All Night Long,” both released in 2022 and “Banana Boy,” released in 2019.

Nizhonniya Austin iBorn in 1990 in Juneau, Alaska, Nizhonniya Austin is a painter, poet, songwriter, and actress and draws inspiration from Tracey Emin to PJ Harvey. She embarks on an artistic journey that blends emotions, poetry, and music into a harmonious expression. Each brushstroke or chord strike speaks volumes, weaving a tapestry of intricate emotions and contemplative thoughts that underpin her creative process. Similar to a poet crafting verses or a musician composing melodies, she breathes life into visual narratives that resonate within her Indigeneity and her life as an artist.

Yapopup :Indigenous Soul Food, created by Rainbird Taylor (Tewa, Oke Owingeh Pueblo) and Nessa Belin (Apache/Tewa of Mescalero and Tesuque Pueblo) during the 2020 pandemic as a way to bring consistent income after being furloughed. “Yapopup” is combination of the name “Po’pay” spelled backwards along with the term “pop up”. Po’pay is the leader of the 1680 Pueblo revolt who hailed from Oke Owingeh–which is also Taylor’s home.

HIGH DESERT HIDEAWAY ( Outdoor Event Space)

Our expansive backyard event space is truly one-of-a-kind, and not just in Santa Fe. Concepted with weddings and live events in mind, the High Desert Hideaway is a stunning outdoor oasis. Scattered with desert bloomers, cacti and succulents, this space exudes the high desert of Northern New Mexico, while staying contemporary in its design.

Our 4-sided arbor offers a beautiful canopy of vines and lights to gather under for your nuptials and/or reception and allows couples flexibility in how they want to set up their seating and vow ceremony. Our large deck, with the backdrop of our otherworldly murals flanking both walls, presents a great place for live bands, DJ’s or just another space to spread out and enjoy the party. The Hideaway, our mobile bar created from a vintage Shasta trailer, will serve up the cocktails of your choice, along with offering another opportunity for great photos. The Mystic’s event space is complete with a unique and handmade fire pit area featuring tiered seating for large groups. It’s a great spot for songs and s’mores as your night winds on. There is plenty of space for food trucks, catering tents, and space for up to a 40’x40’ tent.
