Georgetown to Idaho Springs Half Marathon is a Colorado Runner’s Must-Do. This iconic Half Marathon is one of the most pleasurable races in the western US. The point-to-point course is a scenic and gently rolling downhill mountain course that winds down the Clear Creek Valley -- starting at an elevation of 8,500ft. at Georgetown Lake and ending at an elevation of 7,500ft. in Colorado's historic mining town, Idaho Springs.
This event is hosted by the Clear Creek Booster Club, and it is planned by parent volunteers. Proceeds from the GTIS Half Marathon go directly to supporting middle school and high school students in Clear Creek County.
