Welcome to the 47th Annual Rescue Run! Rain, snow, or 20 below! All proceeds from this 5k/10k benefit our team so that we may continue to serve you, our incredible community.
Join your local SAR team at the Norris Penrose Event Center on January 1 for either a 5k or 10k that meanders through Bear Creek Park East.
Start/Finish: Norris Penrose Events Center (1045 Lower Gold Camp Rd)
Start Time: Both 5k and 10k start at 10:00 am. All runners must cross the start line by 10:10 am.
Registration: No race-day registration. Online registration is open through 6:00 pm MST on December 31.
November 1 - November 30: $25 Entry Fee / $15 optional shirt
December 1 - December 31: $35 Entry Fee / $15 optional Shirt
Long sleeve technical running shirts in unisex sizes XS through XXL are an optional $15 addition to the registration fee.
Packet pickup: Shirts and bibs will be available for pickup through December. You will receive an email after registration when your bib is ready for store pickup. This year our store partners, Colorado Running Company and Runners Roost, are giving a 10% discount on full-price purchases made when you pick up your packet.
Trail Conditions: Be prepared for ice on trails and wooden bridges throughout the course. Use of traction is at the racer's discretion.
Parking: Two large parking lots are available at the event center. Please allow for extra time for parking prior to the race start. The southern lot (closest to the start/finish line) closes at 9:20 am to allow for the kids races. If you arrive after this time, you will be directed to the northern lot.
Kids run: This event is free for children! There will be three age-appropriate distances for your kids to participate in.
Dogs: Please leave your fur friends at home. Dogs are not allowed on the course. Instead, say hi to one of our SAR dogs at the start/finish line!
Toilets: Portable toilets available at the start/finish line.
Trail Ettiquette: No litter, cutting corners/switchbacks, or off-trail travel. Any of these activities may result in disqualification.
