For 45 years, the Iowa City Senior Center has been a place where people come together to sing, dance, learn, laugh, perform, share stories, build friendships, and create community.
Now, ICSC is taking the stage for one unforgettable evening celebrating the people, programs, and shared experiences that have made the Senior Center a vibrant part of Iowa City for nearly half a century.
This free community showcase will feature music, movement, theater, storytelling, and a special preview of the documentary 45 Dreams: A Love Letter to Community. Featured performers include Family Folk Machine, Ukulele Friends, Iowa City New Horizons Band, Becoming Elder, Queer Elders of Iowa City, Original Mature Groovers, SSRO/Senior Center Reade’s Theater, The Pomtastiks!, and Voices of Experience.
