44th Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala

The Annual Scholarship and Awards Gala is the highlight of the West Indian Foundation's calendar year. Our function is to serve as the central focus of West Indian cultural, social and educational activities in the Greater Hartford community. We appeal to your generosity and support for an event whose proceeds will benefit the West Indian Foundation's various educational programs.

The West Indian Foundation, Inc. was founded by the West Indian Social Club of Hartford, Inc. in 1978 to serve as the central focus of West Indian cultural, social and educational activities in the Greater Hartford community. The West Indian Foundation works to embrace and support all members of the Caribbean. The Foundation is dedicated to preserving the identity, history, and unique cultural heritage of the West Indian community while continuing to educate the community at large in these traditions. The West Indian community makes up the largest immigrant population in the State of Connecticut, currently estimated at over 70,000 in the Greater Hartford area. The West Indian Foundation, Inc. is committed to promote the power and potential of the Caribbean community.

The honor of your presence is requested at the West Indian Foundation’s 44st Annual Scholarship & Awards Gala, Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Windsor Marriott Hotel, 28 Day Hill Road, Windsor, CT 06095. The evening begins with a cocktail reception featuring a tea cup & silent auction at 6:00 p.m. followed by a dinner with program at 7:00 p.m.
