The Haight Ashbury Literary Journal turns 44. The Journal was born in 1979, but its roots go back further to the 1960s and the Summer of Love. Like the Bay itself, the Journal endures as a bedrock source of Bay Area poetry, both political and lyrical, both deep and diverse.
