The 42nd Annual Fort Wayne Metro USBC "MASTERS" takes place at Pro Bowl West on Monday & Tuesday, May 4th & 5th, 2026. For the past four decades this tournament has proven to be the ultimate test for bowlers across the Summit City. Day 1 will feature FOUR (4) games of Qualifying with the Top 32 competitors advancing on to Match-Play on Day 2.2026 Fort Wayne Metro USBC “MASTERS” – RULES
1. USBC CERTIFICATION
This tournament is USBC certified and ALL USBC RULES WILL APPLY

Violation of ANY USBC or TOURNAMENT rules will carry the penalty of disqualification of the bowler with no refund.
2. ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to enter, competitors must have a CURRENT FORT WAYNE METRO USBC MEMBERSHIP AND AVERAGE OF AT LEAST
TWELVE (12) GAMES OF COMPETITION IN A FORT WAYNE LEAGUE AS OF MAY 1st, 2026 for the 2025-2026 season. NO
EXCEPTIONS! WALK-IN ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED ONLY IF SIGNED UP NO LATER THAN 6PM. LATE FEE IN CASH OF
ADDITIONAL AN $10.00 WILL BE ASSESSED & ONLY IF LANES/SPOTS ARE AVAILABLE.

4. LATE BOWLER / SUBSTITUTIONS POLICY
Any players that are late either night will be allowed to bowl ONLY IF they arrive and are ready to compete by the 3rd frame of game 1. A player will receive “zero” scores for missed frames up to frame 3 before the player must forfeit from competition.
5. FORMAT
This tournament will be contested on a “scratch” platform (NO HANDICAP USED). Competitors will compete in FOUR (4) QUALIFYING GAMES on Night #1 (Monday). The top 32 players from Night #1 will advance on to Night #2 (Tuesday) to compete in Eight (8) “Match-Play” Quads (FOUR BOWLERS PER QUAD). In the event of ANY ties in competition, a 9th/10th frame “roll-off” will be used to determine the winner. If tie continues, the roll-off moves to “sudden death” where the player’s next ball highest pinfall will determine the winner. One re-rack per game is permitted for each competitor. Night #1 (QUALIFYING NIGHT) Lane Assignments will be conducted via random number generator draw. Each player who enters will be assigned an entry number (1,2,3,etc) and will be assigned starting lane via
number generator. Lane Assignments draw will be public on FORT WAYNE METRO USBC Facebook Live on Sunday, May 3rd at 7:00P.M. ET. During Night #1 (QUALIFYING NIGHT) bowlers will cross as an ENTIRE pair by moving SIX (6) pairs to the right after each game until all four qualifying games are bowled. During Night #2 (Match-Play), bowlers will be pre-assigned lanes for the 1st round of competition. Rounds of 32, 16, and 8 will be contested via TWO (2) GAME TOTAL SCORE MATCHES. The top TWO (2) out of each “Quad” will move on to the next round of competition. This procedure will continue until the field is down to FOUR remaining competitors. Once competition is down to the FINAL FOUR, players will be seeded into a “Stepladder” based on their TEN (10) GAME / TWO (2) DAY TOTAL PINFALL. Stepladder will be ONE game match per round until a champion is crowned.
6. EQUIPMENT ELIGIBILITY
Bowling balls used in competition MUST be USBC approved and released worldwide prior to May 4th, 2026. Any new bowling balls
manufactured and approved by USBC but NOT worldwide released prior to May 4th, 2026 will NOT BE PERMITTED IN COMPETITION. No balance holes will be permitted in ANY balls used in competition. All holes drilled must be used for gripping purposes on every delivery. No more than three (3) ounces of weight on any halves of the ball. ALL TWO-HANDED PLAYERS MUST HAVE AN “X” MARKED ON THEIR BALL TO INDICATE WHERE THEIR PALM IS PLACED DURING COMPETITION.
NEW FOR 2026: NO URETHANE BOWLING BALLS OF ANY SORT WILL BE ALLOWED IN COMPETITION. Violation of tournament rules will carry the penalty of disqualification of the bowler with no refund.
7. PAYOFF
AT LEAST 1 IN 5 COMPETITORS WILL CASH. Payouts will be done by check on site at the conclusion of each round of Match-Play on
Night #2. A full pay-off/prize breakdown is available on the front of the entry form.
