41st Annual Ocklawaha River Raid Civil War Reenactment

Living History reenactment of the March 1865 battle near the Ocklawaha River that was Marion County Florida's only Civil War battle. Wander authentic Union Confederate and civilian encampments. Converse with reenactors who are very knowledgeable about the time period and roles they portray. View the history center display for a look at Florida's journey into and through the Civil War Try your hand at writing a letter 19th century style. Embark on a scavenger hunt for Civil War related items (list provided). Witness the highlight when the sounds of cannon and musket fire fill the grounds as the two forces meet in simulated battle.
