The renown father and daughter duo ‘The Money Tree’ come to Jacs Aberdare! As an entertainer, comedian, broadcaster and entrepreneur Owen Money has delighted audiences with a mixture of hilarious stories and his slant on Welsh life on radio, television and as an after dinner speaker. He has been a leading presenter on BBC Radio Wales for over 25 years and after a varied and interesting career, Owen is extremely proud that his services to entertainment were recognised with an MBE in the 2007 New Years Honours List.
His daughter Katie has entertained all over South and West Wales for a number of years with her jaw dropping vocals as both a solo-act and as lead vocals with her band ‘Catching Kat’. In 2013 Kate auditioned for ITV’s X-Factor and sang with the winner Sam Bailey on more than one occasion getting to the ‘6 Chair Challenge’ that year. Also auditions in 2011 for ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ also saw Kate reach the prestigious ‘Boot Camp’ round before exiting the competition.
