This 5-day intensive National Certification Academy, is being hosted by BERTHOUD FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT and Instructed by First Responder Trauma Counselors (FRTC). This P.O.S.T. Approved Academy is for new members of Fire and Law Enforcement Peer Support Teams, Emergency Response Teams, 911 Dispatchers, Emergency Dept. Nurses/Tech's, Search and Rescue Teams, and current departments who may not have had a peer support team certification training or who want to add new members to their currently existing peer support team.Location of this Academy will be at 275 Mountain Ave., Berthoud CO. This Peer Support Team Certification Academy will run from February 20-24, 2023. Cost per person for this 40-hr ACADEMY is, $600 for FRTC member agency's and $900 for non-member agency's. SPACE IS LIMITED. Once your payment has been received, your seat is confirmed. We cannot reserve seats without a credit card on file.
Chief level officers of all service groups are invited to attend. Priority seating will always be given to on-line personnel first, connected with an Emergency Service agency. There will be a waitlist created; should individuals cancel, admin/training personnel will contact those individuals on the waitlist.
For this Academy to take place, we need to have everyone registered and payment accepted by February 6th, 2023. Refunds CANNOT be refunded after this day. Space IS limited. Any cancellations prior to February 6th will be granted ONE credit to the next available 40-hour peer support academy, to be scheduled in September 2023.
Certificates of Certification and Peer Support Pins will be distributed at the full completion of this training. CE's available.
This (one-time) 40 hour Academy complies with all best practices for public safety peer supporters as outlined and taught by Dr. Jack Digliani, PhD, EdD and Dr. John Nicoletti, PhD, ABPP.

Also, if your agency needs FRTC to send an invoice requesting payment, please contact training so that an invoice may be sent to your department.
There are NO REFUNDS after February 6, 2023.
