--- ABOUT THE MUSICIANS ---
Phil Calkins - Singer/Songwriter singing Blues, Country Rock and More.
Trembling Giant - A folk-punk hybrid, The Trembling Giant combines gritty acoustic guitar with punky tenor vocals to create damn catchy tunes. As a solo singer/songwriter, The Trembling Giant (also known as Justin Calkins) grabs inspiration from his Midwest alternative roots.
Hair of the Dog - Local legends Hair of the Dog primarily consists of Tracy Sonnier (acoustic guitar/vocals), Jeremy Jewell (electric guitar/vocals), Mike Nesbit (bass), Erik Henriksson (drums/electric guitar/vocals), and Kirstin Kooda (accordian). The musicians are long-time fixtures on the local scene both as solo performers and with other bands, but found themselves band-less and looking for new people to play with in late 2014. They discovered through playing together that the blend of their individual styles made for a very interesting and eclectic sound which was unveiled to the public at their first public appearance together on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2014. A local music reviewer described the band as “vintage rock.” The show went over so well that they quickly were offered other gigs around town and have played just about every venue available since.
Hell's Paradise - Local rap stars Skipp and Rixx of the old King In Disguise crew from back in the day, teamed up with DJ EyeOwe to make up Hells Paradise! They’ve been putting out plenty of new tunes over the past few years. They’ve also played shows in town like Find Elysium, and opened for My Town My Music’s show at Kathy’s with Mac Irv and Nimic Revenue as well as opening for Nur-D and playin the Rochester Thaw Festival. They bring plenty of energy and we can’t wait to see what’s in store this time around.
