Stained Glass Lantern Workshop
4 consecutive Monday evenings

Create a one-of-a-kind lantern that showcases your stained glass artistry!

£165 per person
This 4-week workshop will allow you to create your own stained glass lantern, using either traditional leaded or copper foil stained glass. This course is designed for those with some prior stained glass experience, but complete beginners are welcome.
🪶 No experience needed - all tools and materials provided.
🌈 Design and create a beautiful stained glass lantern.

What You’ll Create:
You will be provided with a 28cm table lantern, and can then design and make three stained glass panels to fit into it to create your own beautiful 3D piece of art. Your lantern will be suitable for use with a candle, a tealight, fairy lights, or all manner of other small lights. You can choose either leaded glass for its durability and suitability for outdoor use, or copper foil for its higher detail and intricacy.
What You’ll Learn:
🎨 Design Your Panels: Develop and refine your ideas with expert guidance, creating a cohesive design across three panels.
🔮 Choose Your Technique: Work with leaded glass or copper foil to bring your design to life. Learn more about your chosen medium if you are new to stained glass.
✂️ Hands-On Skills: Enhance your cutting, leading/foiling, soldering, and finishing techniques, tailored to your chosen medium.
✨ Assembly & Finishing: Polish and patina your completed panels then fit them into the lantern frame, ensuring a beautiful result.
What to bring:
● Your glasses if you need them for close work.
● A tupperware or other similar box to take your project home in-between sessions.
● Your creativity and enthusiasm!
Please wear sensible clothing suitable for crafting, and closed toed shoes.
Please note that we are unable to offer this course to pregnant women or nursing mothers.
I will work with you and make every effort to ensure you complete your lantern within the time available. However please bear in mind that completion is not guaranteed and will depend on the complexity of the design you choose and your individual working speed.
