This class focuses on Illustrative Hand Lettering. Design + create your own Pinterest-worthy inspirational word art!Over the six weeks, participants are guided from composition, concept, and revisions to… remarkable! We will use pencils, plain ol’ paper, fine artists’ markers (black + colour), watercolour paints and heavy vellum stock for the masterpiece. Bring two or three quotes or phrases to work with. Each participant will complete one final 9x12" piece.
We will also study the characteristics of type forms, various typefaces, and there will be homework each week to trace and practice a different typeface each week, in order to build a library of type you can hand letter as desired.
Every Tuesday evening for 4 weeks

$247 per person + HST added at checkout

Water, tea + coffee will be available.
Participants are welcome to bring their own snacks + adult beverages. Please drink responsibly or arrange alternate transportation.
Limit of six (6) participants
Advance payment required to hold your spot. Refunds are not available for this event, though your spot may be transferred to another participant at no additional charge.
NOTE: This event will take place in the second-floor studio of my Kanata/Stittsville home. Details will be sent via email a few days prior to the event.
HEALTH GUIDELINES: As these events are held in my home, participants are asked stay home if feeling unwell. You can transfer your spot to a friend, or contact me to inquire about coming another time.
