About the event
4 Tha Girlies mission is to increase equity in dance music by empowering femme and queer voices learning to DJ and produce. Class is held in a 4 hour session with an instruction portion at the beginning of class and plenty of time behind the decks learning to mix hands on. We are a beginner friendly class; we recommend that beginners try to come as early as possible. All skill levels and genres are welcome!

Please come prepared with your USB formatted with music in Rekordbox (no need to pay, the free plan works just fine). Upload your music to your collection on the left-hand side in Rekordbox, create a playlist, and then drag and drop the playlist into your USB under devices. Then make sure you eject your USB in the Rekordbox app once it completes uploading. You can download Rekordbox here: https://rekordbox.com/en/plan/
