4 Session Watercolor class with Eudes Correia in New York City

Spend 4 sessions studying the basics of the human figure in watercolor with master artist Eudes Correia.

What you will learn:

Week 1: Learning the materials. The importance of drawing. Technique variations. Tonal value. Shadow and light. Black and white figure studies.

Week 2: Color exercise. Synthesis. Studies of synthesized figures.

Week 3: Understanding the figure in 3D. Volumes. Shadow and light. Study of a figure with volumes and contrasts

Week 4: Types of shadows. Contrasts. Study of a figure in finished colors

-The class will be 1:30 of technique and 1:30 of practice

-The teacher will have a demonstration, slowly, explaining step-by-step all the details of the painting. The students will paint with the teacher’s supervision.

– Each student must bring an iPad or tablet.

-Every week the student will receive a photo that will be used as a reference during the class.

Class Schedule: Class begins promptly at 6:00 pm on Tuesdays, Feb 2nd, 9th, 16th, and 23rd at 15 Gramercy Park South. The doorman will direct you to the classroom.

We do not require masks at this point but support any student who wishes to wear them. Our location is on the third floor of a non-elevator building.
