About this Event

The 4-H Paper Arts Summer Club is a one-week summer program designed for youth ages 8 to 12 who are interested in exploring the creative potential of paper arts. The program will offer a range of activities that introduce children to various paper crafts, including origami, paper cutting, paper quilling, paper mache, and more. This club runs in the morning.

During the workshops, youth are guided by experienced non-formal adult educators and youth facilitators who are skilled in working with paper arts. They will provide demonstrations, offer tips and advice, and guide children to develop their skills and confidence in a fun, safe and supportive environment.

In addition to learning new techniques and creating their own paper art projects, youth who attend this program also have the opportunity to make new friends from Pinellas County (and Puerto Rico via ZOOM) and socialize with other creative kids who share their interests.

The camp may also include a field trip to a local gallery to expose the children to different forms of art.

At the end of the camp, children may have the opportunity to showcase their work in an exhibition or performance, allowing them to share their creativity with their family and friends.

Overall, the 4-H Paper Arts Club is a wonderful opportunity for children to explore their creativity, learn new skills, and make lasting memories in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
