The series is scheduled for Monday to Friday and will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with Friday being the exception. Monday to Friday sessions from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. will be hybrid for both in-person and Zoom participants. Monday to Thursday sessions from 2:30-3:30 will be in-person only, and so there will not be a Zoom option. Sessions will be outdoors at this time, weather permitting. A minimum of 20 daily participants will be needed to run the series or it will be cancelled. The program will run every two years after 2023.
Change your life and change the lives of the youth in your care through gardening. This five-day, series will increase your knowledge base, introduce you to resource personnel, offer networking opportunities, and boost your confidence as a garden educator. Research shows that gardening with youth has significant impacts including better test scores, increased love of learning, greater nutrition awareness and more. Help us make educational gardening a solid part of the culture in Ohio by learning best practices in gardening education as well as ways to educate, engage and mentor others. Together we can grow school garden education in Ohio.
Deadline: June 1, 2023; a Zoom link with password will be sent out just prior to the program for those attending online only. You need to download Zoom to participate. The virtual program is $25.
