About this Event
Are you looking for youth development opportunities in New Hanover County that mold the next generation into the leaders of tomorrow? Discover how 4-H helps youth "learn by doing" at our 'Meet the Agent' night!
Join us at the New Hanover County Arboretum for an evening of hands-on, educational activities. Following the fun, stay for a brief presentation and Q&A session to learn:
- What 4-H is and its local impact.
- The benefits of the program for career and life skills.
- How to get involved as a participant or a volunteer.
Meet Cecilia Tadt
Cecilia Tadt is a lifelong 4-H advocate who has transitioned from showing livestock and serving as a State Officer to leading our program here in New Hanover County. She is dedicated to providing youth with the same life-changing career skills and confidence she gained through her years in 4-H.
With a B.S. in Agriculture Production Systems (Extension Outreach/Education) from the University of Mount Olive, Cecilia combines a deep knowledge of agriculture with a passion for community education.
What is 4-H?
4-H is the largest youth development organization in the United States, serving over 6 million youth annually. Operating through our land-grant universities in North Carolina, NC State and NC A&T State Universities, the program empowers young people to learn and grow through hands-on projects and leadership opportunities.
