NOTE: Specialty camps WILL NOT be offered this year for grades 6-12. This includes Wilderness Challenge, Marine Resource, and Senior Camps.CL Camp Reg. March 10 (7 am) - March 16
Before beginning the registration process, please make sure you have read through the information below thoroughly!

Space is VERY, VERY LIMITED this year due to capacity restrictions related to COVID-19 concerns. We expect that camp will fill within hours if not minutes. It is important you register ASAP the day registration opens! If camp is already full, please make sure to add your child to the waiting list when prompted. There is a possibility more spots will become available in May. Any additional openings will be filled in the order the students were added to the waiting list!


Our county received a specific quota for females and specific quota for males. It is very important that you select the correct GENDER of your child when choosing your "ticket type". Your child will lose his or her spot in line if they are registered under the incorrect gender!

Explore the great outdoors this summer with your friends at Rock Eagle 4-H Center! Students will participate in fun activities throughout the week such as archery, hiking, canoeing, lake ecology, herpetology, swimming, crafts, and so much more!

Price includes transportation, lodging, and all meals. Transportation is provided via Columbia County school buses from a centralized location within the county on departure day.

Note: 2020 Summer Camp Scholarship recipients are eligible to use their scholarship towards a 2021 summer camp. However, there will be no new 2021 summer camp scholarships available this year.


MANDATORY SUMMER CAMP ORIENTATION MEETING Tuesday. May 18 ■ 6:00 to 7:30 pm Savannah Rapids Pavilion: 3300 Evans to Locks Road, Martinez

Mark your calendars now! From bathing suits to sandals, sunscreen to bug spray, 4-H staff will go over everything you need to know about summer camp as well as the new COVID-19 protocols that have been set in place. EVERY CHILD attending camp must attend this meeting with an ADULT - even if your child has been to camp with us before! Due to capacity restrictions, this meeting will be limited to only the camper and one parent or adult. No other family members or siblings will be allow to attend.


COLUMBIA COUNTY SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION

All Georgia 4-H summer camps are open to youth in Columbia County. The child does not currently have to be a member of 4-H to attend. Private & home schooled students are welcomed to attend as well! All camps are 4-day residential camps this year & costs include meals, lodging, and transportation unless noted. For more info visit:

Note: Before registering your child, please make sure he or she is comfortable with being away from home overnight for a week, especially if your child has never been away from home overnight for an extended amount of time. NO REFUNDS are given for children who go home due to HOMESICKNESS, BAD BEHAVIOR, ILLNESS known about before leaving for camp, or BAD BEHAVIOR.

2021 COVID-19 HEALTH & SAFETY INFORMATION Using the links below, please review the COVID-19 health & safety precautions being implemented during all 4-H camps this summer. COUNTY SUMMARY: FULL STATE SUMMARY:

CAMP DEPOSIT & PAYMENT INFORMATION An $85 deposit is due at the time of registration for all 4-H summer camps. The remaining camp balance will reflect total cost of camp minus the $85 deposit. Initial deposit & registration must be made online via Eventbrite. Deposits will be NONREFUNDABLE after May 14 and CANNOT be covered by fundraising funds. If camp happens to be cancelled by Georgia 4-H for whatever reason, students will be eligible for a FULL REFUND.

Remaining payments after the initial deposit must be made at the Extension/4-H office or via mail. Additional payments CANNOT be paid online or via phone. Cash/Check/Credit are accepted in office. Check only via mail. Your child’s remaining balance can be paid in full after May 2 or in two installments.Payment 1: $102.50 due May 7 & Payment 2: $102.50 due May 22

SUMMER CAMP REFUND POLICY Camp deposits are non-refundable after May 14. When requesting a full refund for any summer camp, 25% of the total amount paid will be deducted from the refund as well as the deposit amount. A request for reimbursement for all camps must be sent by May 14. If camp happens to be cancelled by Georgia 4-H for whatever reason, students will be eligible for a FULL REFUND. If the request is based on an illness in which the student could not attend camp at all, proper medical documentation is required. Reimbursement requests made after camp has started must be sent within the 2 weeks following the end date of the camp. Students that leave camp at any point during the week because of behavior or homesickness are not eligible for any type of refund. Camp refund requests are determined by the Columbia County 4-H Agent and Georgia 4-H. Refund requests received after the deadlines above will not be refunded until after September 1, 2021.

SUMMER CAMP GOALS FOR YOUR CHILD The #1 goal of Georgia 4-H is to make sure our campers are SAFE, part of an INCLUSIVE & welcoming environment, and having the BEST camp experience they can possible have. Columbia County welcomes ALL children to camp no matter what medical need, disability, allergy, or special accommodation the camper may have. Our 4-H staff and volunteers will go above and beyond to make sure that your child is well taken care of in the best way possible. In order for us to best take care of your child while he or she is at camp, please fill out the REGISTRATION QUESTIONS regarding the particular needs of your child completely and thoroughly.
